No Regrets!

It was a great week. It was a perfect combination of quiet family time and quality time with great friends. I confess that 95% of my household chores that were mentioned in the previous post remain UNDONE. Yes, my proud and public commitment to organization and homemakery proved to be nothing but an empty promise. The fridge no longer has moldy food in it and my closet and chest of drawers are cleaned out, but that's as far as I got. But honestly, I don't regret it. I enjoyed the weather. I walked through bluebonnet fields. I spent time with my girlfriends. I made a gift. I celebrated birthdays. I shared meals. I caught up with my husband. I watched my daughter play with friends. I stayed up too late. I napped. I wore a sundress and cowboy boots. I took my time. I sipped coffee and I sipped wine. I remembered that my husband is my hero. It was a great week.

No, there are no regrets. The closets can be cleaned out later!

Details and highlights still to come...

That's right, the closet can be cleaned out later! Spend the time with the Lord, family and friends.

Is that your picture of the bluebonnets? That's so pretty! Where is it?

It is our picture! Our friends the Griffins live on some acreage where the bluebonnets are in full bloom! They had a birthday party out there and that was all the kids needed...to run and play in the bluebonnets! So fun!

there will always be messes to clean, but these moments with family and friends are irreplacable!

This picture makes me miss Texas! Wide open spaces! :)

I just love bluebonnets. Texas could not have a prettier flower. Steph, I was hoping you would know when the huge Round Top antique weekend was happening. I am going to have to reread which sections of the market you recommended. Thanks!

Jenny...
I usually go to Warrenton which is free and ginormous!!! It goes from March 25ish to April 5. (Somebody correct me if I'm wrong about that.)

I also LOVE Marburger which you have to pay to get into but almost all of the dealers are really great. Lots of European antiques. (Warrenton has a bit more rickrack). It starts March 31 (for $25!) through April 4th (the 1st-4th is $10 but oh so worth it!)

Hope that helps. And I remember that you wanted to ask me about something else...ask away! If you rather talk via email my address is stephcease[at]gmail
