I Declare Thursdays Art Day

In an attempt to get back to intentionality, I decided this week we would do an art project. Months ago I noticed some beautiful, kid-painted rocks at Fireman's Park in Brenham, and tucked that idea in my mind for such a day as this.

This morning we went to Wal-mart, got our supplies and went to work under the car-port. I think this may go down as one of my most favorite days with her.

***Quick question: I used acrylic paint. Will this come off in the rain? Do I need to coat the rocks with something to keep the paint from wearing off or fading? If so, what do I use? Thanks!!

i'm not sure if it comes off in the rain. i know that levi got it all over the house and no water was able to get it off the sink. yep, that was a fun day...

How cute would it be to paint her feet and let her leave her footprint on a different stone each year and then use them as stepping stones in your garden? I always loved it when they painted my feet at school to make a "footprint project". Maybe that's TMI, but I loved the sensation of the cool paint on my feet!
